2011 NFL Draft Stock Watch 11/20/10
There aren’t many games remaining in the college football season, which makes this a very crucial time for draft-eligible prospects around the nation. For many, this is the last chance they’ll have to showcase what they can bring to an NFL team next year. With that in mind, it’s time for another edition of the Draft Stock Report.

New: NFL Mock Draft 11/18/10
We’re almost through the regular season of College Football, so what better time to fire up a Pre-Bowl Mock Draft. There are some unexpected teams presently in the top-10, including Cincinnati and Dallas. But what about the Minnesota Vikings, who just aren’t getting the job done? With plenty of football left to be played, there will no doubt be some movers and shakers but here’s a look at how round one of the 2011 NFL Draft might look if it were held today. The following draft order is based on the current NFL standings.
1. BUFFALO (1-8): ANDREW LUCK** QB STANFORD The Bills haven’t had a solid QB in town since Doug Flutie and they’ve suffered through a terrible run of signal callers since the glory days of Jim Kelly.

The Cowboys marched into Austin with something to prove versus a Longhorn team they hadn’t beaten on the road since 1944. Mike Gundy’s boys not only defeated Texas, they outclassed them at every position and in every aspect of the game, as a dejected legion home team fans cleared out early during a 33-16 romp.
Former Yankee pitches a gem
Former New York Yankee farmhand Brandon Weeden is undoubtedly one of the best stories of the college football season considering how he is making his gridiron dreams come true after a failed baseball career at the ripe old age of 27.
Weeden masterfully sliced and diced a number-two ranked Texas pass defense to the tune of 409 yards, showing outstanding poise, accuracy and arm strength throughout.
The 6’4” junior recovered nicely from a pair of ill-advised penalties on his first drive by elevating a well-thrown laser

Steelers Cut Ties With Reed | Suisham Signed
With six games left in the 2002 season the Pittsburgh Steelers signed kicker Jeff Reed, who would hit a game-winning 45-yard field in his pro debut.
After nine years in Pittsburgh the field gremlins of Heinz Field finally got the best of Reed; it was announced on Tuesday that Canadian-born Shaun Suisham will replace Reed as the Steelers’ kicker.
After missing a 26-yard chipshot against New England this past Sunday Reed said, “It doesn’t help that everything you read or hear on the radio is negative.” It seemed the voices of fans, media, and maybe even coaches were stuck in the veteran’s head. Kicking is like a golf swing. Once those voices start playing games in your head, your game in reality is going to suffer, hence the eventual mishaps that led to Reed’s erractic 2010 season.

Behind The Steel Curtain: Brady Bunched
The two most successful teams in terms of Super Bowl victories over the last ten years squared off Sunday night in what turned out to be a game dominated by the New England Patriots.
“We stunk, offensively,” Ben Roethlisberger said, giving his honest opinion of Pittsburgh’s 39-26 defeat. “We flat-out stunk. I stunk. It wasn’t fun.” The Patriots have had the Steelers’ number of late, winning four of the last six regular season meetings. In those last six meetings only one game was close, a New England 23-20 victory in Pittsburgh. As for the other five in-season contests, each winning team has had their way with the other; the average score has been 34-16, hardly a series of nail-biters.
“Got off to a fast start,” smiled Tom Brady at the podium after he’d dismantled the Steelers’ defense to the tune of 350 yards and three touchdowns.
The Rosstradamus: Week 10 Ramble
Week 10 is in the books, and what a bizarre read it was. We saw the Bills get their first win and Brett Favre play in what will most likely be his last important game. Atlanta did the NFC proud, defending their home turf against one of the AFC’s best. In a battle to remain relevant in the AFC South, Jacksonville has a prayer answered against Houston. Tennessee KO’ed a pair of Chads, but were done in by a Tyler in Miami. Tampa took a step toward proving their worthiness, while Kansas City took two steps back and the incredible Michael Vick set records as the Eagles destroyed the Redskins. One New York team won for the second consecutive week…on the road…against inferior competition…in overtime. The other New York team, well…they took the week off.
