Scout’s Notebook: Utah-Boise St. (MAACO Bowl)

There was no way a dominant one-loss Boise St. team should have been playing in a minor bowl game three days before Christmas. But instead of sulking and giving a half-hearted effort, the Broncos proved how formidable they truly are in destroying Utah by a 26-3 tally that could have even more lopsided. The Blue Turf Brigade’s Kellen Moore carved up the Utes with surgical precision after a shaky start, while the adversary’s sloppiness on both sides of the ball proved damaging.

Moore toys with the opposition

An out-of-sync and downright rusty Kellen Moore wasn’t his normal efficient self in the first quarter. In fact after fumbling away the ball to the Utes on a Christian Cox sack on the opening series, the junior quarterback later threw a pick thanks to a Cox pressure, forcing the hasty throw.

Exclusive: New Twist In Mike Hartline Case

The NFL Draft Bible has learned that there are several un-reported facts involving the recent arrest of Kentucky senior quarterback Mike Hartline, the younger brother of Miami Dolphins wide receiver Brian Hartline, as sources have revealed that Hartline, who was arrested for disorderly conduct and alcohol intoxication, was protecting his girlfriend as both were being verbally confronted prior to the arrest and he was attempting to get her out of a bad situation that continued to escalate.

NFLPA Game: Ex-Superstars To Serve As Coaches

The NFL Draft Bible has learned that several former NFL players including All-Pro Kevin Mawae, defensive back Jeff Burris, wide receiver Wendell Davis and two-time Washington Redskins Defensive Player of the Year, defensive lineman Dave Butz, Sr. will be part of the coaching staffs at the NFLPA “The Game”, which has the format of “Texas vs. the Nation” once again this year and has moved from El Paso to the Alamo Dome in San Antonio, Texas… the game has placed over 400 players into the NFL during its short existence and now boosts the NFLPA and AFCA as two of its chief supporters.

Dixie Gridiron Classic Faces Uncertainty

The NFL Draft Bible has learned that the new Dixie Gridiron Classic All-Star Game, which recently moved its date back from January 1st, 2011 to February 5th, 2011, is being run by Bayside Promotions, which is owned and operated by Darry Alton, the former CEO of the Vegas and Magnolia all-star games, both of which suspended play several years ago do to a variety of issues, including financial stability.
