(1-5) Eric Berry, FS, Tennessee: The instinctive defender made plays all over the field, as he started 16 games and registered 126 tackles (82 solos), the highest total ever amassed by a Chiefs rookie safety. Instead of hitting the proverbial rookie wall, Berry ran right through it by finishing on a high note as the NFL Rookie Defensive Player of the Month for December/January. The 6’0 defensive back produced 30 unassisted tackles, six pass deflections, two interceptions and a touchdown return during that stretch. Grade: A+
