Purdue/NFF On-Campus Salute for Mark Herrmann
DALLAS – Purdue University and The National Football Foundation (NFF) & College Hall of Fame announced today that they will jointly honor Mark Herrmann with an NFF Hall of Fame On-Campus Salute Nov. 6 as the Boilermakers host Wisconsin in West Lafayette.
“All of us associated with Purdue University are thrilled with Mark’s election to the College Football Hall of Fame, and we look forward to honoring his achievement on our campus in November,” Said Purdue Director of Intercollegiate Athletics Morgan J. Burke. “Mark’s passing numbers, unparalleled during his playing days, speak for themselves, but it is the person he is off the field that makes him special. He always put his team first, and, as a working professional, he has continued to be selfless in his contributions to society.”

Getting To Know…Miami’s Armand Robinson: Robinson is a senior wide receiver for the Miami RedHawks. Robinson garnered third-team All-Mid American Conference recognition in 2009 as he led the Miami receiving corps with 67 catches for 788 yards and four touchdowns. Robinson also had 16 catches for 229 yards as a sophomore and 33 receptions, 471 yards and three TD as a freshman. He is a native of Reynoldsburg, Ohio and is majoring in business.
What did you choose Miami University?
Miami University was the only school to offer me (a scholarship) as a wide receiver. I also wanted to stay relatively close to home and go to a school with a good academic reputation.
What are your goals for this season?
My goals this season are to win a MAC championship and get All-MAC honors.

What is your favorite Michigan tradition?
Clam chowder and filet mignon.

It was there before I got there…it was Michigan’s tradition. We had it every week; no matter where we were, we had it every week.
Wow. I thought I knew a lot about Michigan football, but I never heard that before. What’s bigger – winning the Rose Bowl or beating Ohio State?
Ah, well, winning the Rose Bowl because you have to beat Ohio State to get there, so winning the Rose Bowl (laughs).
Good answer, coach. Who is the better Morris – Jamie from Michigan or Joe from Syracuse?
I would say…Joe played for the Giants, Jamie played for Michigan.
