Getting To Know…Northern Illinois’ Alex Kube: Kube is a senior linebacker for the Northern Illinois Huskies. Last season, Kube recorded 60 stops and 6.0 tackles for loss. In 2007, Kube earned Freshman All-America accolades from The Sporting News as he ranked second in the nation in tackles among first-year players with 111. In 2008, Kube switched from playing strong safety to linebacker, where he made 59 tackles. The native of Cary, Ill., also lived in Germany for six years. Below is a closer look at the NIU linebacker.
