Arkansas QB Ryan Mallett, who had a screw replaced in his foot on June 9, is expected to begin throwing again this week. The injury has had one positive effect, he’s shortened his stride. “I shortened my stride up a little bit, and I’ve been putting the ball everywhere I want to,” Mallett told Rivals.com. “In the past, I might not have put it in the exact spot I want. Even with my foot, I’m putting it in the exact spot I want.”
