Trindon Holliday joins Ben Tate as the second Texans rookie to suffer a season-ending injury. The 5-5 kick returner has reportedly broken his thumb, which caused him to fumble a punt and mishandle a kickoff in Houston’s 38-20 loss to New Orleans this past weekend. The preseason has proven to be too long and costly for the Texans thus far. Holliday’s elusiveness, acceleration and ability to hide behind his blockers made him a lethal weapon that the coaching staff was really counting on.
