Temple Announces Cherry & White Rules & Roster

PHILADELPHIA (4/15/10) – Temple University football has announced its roster for the annual Cherry & White intra-squad scrimmage on Saturday, April 17, at 2 p.m. at the Edberg-Olson Complex (11th & Diamond Streets).

This year, because of injuries, the scrimmage will feature offense (white), under the direction of Matt Rhule, versus defense (cherry), under the guidance of Mark D’Onofrio, instead of two full squads. Scoring will be kept.

Additionally, several Owls have switched positions during spring drills.  R-senior QB Vaughn Charlton now plays tight end and wears No. 3.

R-sophomore Vaughn Carraway and R-junior Anthony Parker-Boyd have moved from wide receiver to defensive back. Sophomore Matt Falcone and r-freshman Geoffrey Prather are now linebackers.

Under the guidance of fifth-year head coach Al Golden, this season’s squad returns 56 lettermen, including 16 starters.
