2011 NFL Draft–

  • QB – The quarterback concerns have been long documented for this franchise; since the drafting of Alex Smith number one overall in the 2005 NFL Draft, this franchise has an overall record of 37-59. The 49ers have playmakers throughout the offense but their talents aren’t being maximized due to the mediocre play at the quarterback spot.  Even if San Francisco brings in a veteran quarterback via free agency, look for the team to spend at least one draft pick on a young passer for new head coach Jim Harbaugh to groom.
  • CB – The 49ers defense has a solid front seven but their secondary is still an issue, giving up an average of more than 230 yards per game through the air in 2010.  Nate Clements is
