SCOUT’S NOTEBOOK: OHIO STATE IOWA

A valiant effort on the part of Iowa wasn’t enough versus a resilient Ohio State squad that executed a heroic comeback during last Saturday’s 20-17 victory at Kinnick Stadium. Key defensive errors led to the undoing of the Hawkeyes.

Has Pryor arrived yet?

He’s 6’6”, athletic and incredibly strong, but where is Terrelle Pryor as a pure passer? While he has undoubtedly improved since his freshman year and proven to be skillful enough to lead a successful Ohio State program with his arm and his feet, he still doesn’t throw the ball well enough to prosper at the next level.

His line versus Iowa were nothing to pop champagne over (18/33, 195 yards, 1/1) and he was generally inconsistent throughout the Big Ten battle.

While he did complete a good-looking pass to Dane Sanzenbacher for 21 yards in traffic early on, he also overthrew open
