SCOUT’S NOTEBOOK: ILLINOIS@MICHIGAN STATE

Following a sluggish start that saw the Spartans trail an inferior Illinois team by a field goal at halftime, the Big Green Machine thoroughly dominated in all phases of the game in the second half.

An opportunistic defense and big plays in the passing game combined to propel Michigan State to a 26-6 victory.
