Q&A: Matt Schilz, Bowling Green

Getting to know Bowling Green’s Matt Schilz: Schilz is a redshirt freshman quarterback for the Bowling Green Falcons. Schilz is a native of Arcadia, Calif. and is majoring in health science. He was an All-CIF Southern Section QB throwing for 3,200 yards and 31 touchdowns in leading Maranatha High School to an 11-2 record as a senior.

How did you get started playing football?

I got started playing football watching my older cousins play for the South Holland Jets, a neighborhood team. In the fourth grade, I was able to play and from there the game just grew on me and I’ve been playing ever since.

What would your superhero name be?
