In 2009, UTEP running back Donald Buckram rushed for 1,594 yards (6.2 yards per carry) earning first team Conference USA honors. However in 2010 the Miner running back would miss five games and never get on the workhorse pace of 2009. And a workhorse as Buckram averaged 29.2 carries per game during a seven-game stretch during his junior season. Can some one say gitty up!?!
