Mancini’s take on the performance of rookie tight ends Rob Gronkowski and Aaron Hernandez in New England’s 28-10 preseason win over the Atlanta Falcons: The rookie duo did a fantastic job on Thursday night with Hernandez looking like more of the downfield threat with wide receiver skills and Gronkowski playing the role of the traditional tight end who’s big enough to tangle with defensive linemen, but also be a factor in the passing game. Hernandez was masterful on his 4-yard touchdown reception from Tom Brady in the way he adjusted to the ball on nice corner route and beat SeanWeatherspoon who failed to turn his head with the ball in the air.
