NFL: Patrick Kerney Calls It Quits

Seahawks DE Patrick Kerney has changed his mind and will retire from football after all, according to NFL.com’s Steve Wyche.

Draft Impact: This isn’t shocking news, considering reports that Kerney had already held a retirement party in late January. The 33-year-old has enjoyed a solid career and seemed to beon his way to reemerging as one of the league’s premiere pass rushers in 2007, when he notched 14.5 sacks. He was an unstoppable force that season, but major shoulder and elbow injuries over the past two years have convinced him to call it a career.
