Jason Taylor has reportedly chosen the Jets over the Dolphins.
Mancini’s Take: Ha! That’s a laugh.Taylor wanted no part of the Jets, but unfortunately for him, the Dolphins showed no interest and effectively put him on hold. The declining 36-year-old went to Gang Green because nobody else wanted him and GM Mike Tannenbaum applied the full court press to sign him before Thursday. On paper, the move makes sense since the Jets were a middle-of-the-road team in quarterback sacks last year despite having the top defense in terms points allowed to the opposition. But honestly, as a lifelong die-hard of the Green and White, I’m going to have a hard time rooting for a man who has spent his entire pro career insulting my team and its fans.
