And then there were two. After a couple of pretty mediocre Conference Championship Games, it’s down to Green Bay and Pittsburgh. The Packers took care of the Bears, while the Steelers defeated the Jets in a pair of games which saw each victor flex its muscles…and then hold on for its Super Bowl life.

The Packers went into Chicago and made an immediate statement, scoring on their opening drive without facing a third down to take a 7-0 lead. They extended it to 14 at the start of the second quarter and took that two-score lead into the locker room at halftime. The Bears were lucky they weren’t trailing by more—Green Bay out-gained their hosts by 149 yards and controlled both sides of the football.
