MEMPHIS Head coach Larry Porter took his squad to the Liberty Bowl for its second full-scale scrimmage of the spring and used a 125-play scrimmage to gain an assessment of his team as it heads into the final week of spring practice next week. The scrimmage was closed, and Porter explained that in closing the workout, he was able to run some plays and work some scenarios that he wouldn’t normally do in an open practice situation.
