Hope, Purdue Agree To Contract Extension

WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. – Purdue athletics director Morgan J. Burke today announced that head football coach Danny Hope has agreed to a one-year contract extension, which will keep him on the Boilermaker sideline through the 2014 season. The extension provides guaranteed compensation of $900,000 for 2010, with bonus opportunities tied to academic, athletic and paid attendance performance that could total up to an additional $500,000.

Hope initially signed a six-year contract with the Boilermakers on Jan. 11, 2008, with the first year as associate head coach and the remaining five as head coach. He became the 34th head football coach in school history Jan. 1, 2009.
