Head coach Mark Richt

Opening statement…
“Everybody’s here. Everybody reported last night ready to go. Basically half of our offensive unit was walking through assignments and the other half was working in the weight room, and the same thing was going on defensively—half the guys were walking through the defensive assignments and the other half were in the weight room and then they would flip about 45 minutes into it. Then there will be a 15-minute walk-through for special teams. What we are going to cover today which is our pride team, punt team.  Of course we will have our first practice a little later on today. On Location: Q&A with Dan LeFevour

The NFL Draft Bible caught up with former Central Michigan quarterback Dan LeFevour at Bears camp in Bourbonnaise.

RM: What are some of the things you’re learning from Mike Martz and by watching Jay Cutler in practice?

DL: “It’s a lot of new stuff for me. It’s been everything from the language they use in the offense to the drop technique to the reads; they’re all a little bit different from the spread offense. [Martz] has been a great teacher for me. He’s trying to work with me and do different things with me that way, so it’s been a lot of fun for me so far. I’m looking to contribute any way I can.”

RM: Is being a hometown guy an advantage or disadvantage?

DL: “I think it’s great. If you can handle it and you can handle all the people around you—family and friends—and set all your priorities straight, then it’s

RM: How does it feel to end up in the same area you played your college ball in?

CW: “You know, it’s been great to be around here in the Chicago land area. It feels great to be around these great fans with such an historic franchise, so I’m really excited for the opportunity.”
