Wow. What a week three. Upsets, crazy finishes, controversy…who could ask for anything more?
I’ll happily admit I was wrong about the Giants-Eagles game. I thought the Giants would get smoked. They did not. Instead, they battled gamely and secured a well-deserved 29-16 win over their bitter rivals. Eli Manning rebounded from a blah performance against St. Louis to have a nearly flawless effort in Philadelphia: 16-23 for 254 yards with four touchdowns and most importantly, no interceptions. Victor Cruz stepped up in the absence of Mario Manningham to grab a pair of TD passes and Ahmad Bradshaw had 139 total yards and a score in the win, but the story ends up being about Michael Vick’s injury.
