Pros: A former high school basketball player, Jenkins repertoire includes agility, instinct and improved versatility on his pass-rush techniques. Known more for his pass-rushing prowess, he has also shown he is capable of dropping into pass coverage, something he continues to work on. A First Team All-ACC selection, Jenkins is a high-motor guy, sells out on every play and carries a fiery chip on his shoulder in a competitive way.

Pros: A Big play waiting to happen, Hunter combines route running, hands and athleticism in a rare form not seen very often. His size and speed creates mismatches for most opposing corners, which has earned him a reputation as one of the most dangerous weapons in all of college football. Nearly half of Hunter’s catches went for touchdowns as a freshman (7-of-16) and he continued to show glimpses as a sophomore before he endured an injury that ended his season prematurely. Pros: An absolute well-rounded player, Hankins has shown the ability to beat double-team coverage and get into the backfield using brute force and quickness. Hankins is a run-stuffer who can play up and down the defensive line, a luxury that NFL teams value. He also shows sound technique engaging and shedding blockers. Hankins really moves around very well, and he’s very instinctual—he knows how to take proper angles in pursuit to a spot.

Cons: There are some conditioning concerns when it comes to Hankins, who arrived as a 360-pound freshman. Since, his weight has fluctuated—he enters his junior season at a svelte 320 pounds. NFL scouts will want to see that he can consistently maintain that weight.

New Senior Bowl executive director Phil Savage thinks the time may be right to consider allowing some juniors to play in the annual all-star game, but only if they meet certain strict criteria.

Savage, who was hired last month and officially began his new duties on June 1, brought up the idea with NFL representatives last month and was told the league would consider it.

Under Savage’s idea, Senior bowl eligibility for players listed as juniors would be limited to those who meet four criteria: A player must declare early for the NFL draft, be graduated by December, be with a program for four years and have the blessing of his college coach.

“With redshirts and medical redshirts, that kind of blurs the line of who’s a senior and who’s not,” Savage said Monday. “They’re not a junior or a senior they’re graduated.
